Check in the guest house & restaurant (Huong Tram)
nearby the forest and get ready for the trip into the forest in the next day. The guest house at the forest is of basic condition with mattress, air conditioner and mosquito net. Simple breakfasts are served with either noodles or bread with eggs. You can also take your own sleeping bags for a comfortable sleep. The national park is one of only a few protected tropical mangrove forests left in the world. It contains 252 species of flora, 202 different insect species, 24 animal species and 185 kinds of birds, many of which are rare, some have been listed in the red book. There is also a 44-hectare bird sanctuary with more than 70,000 birds. Our full day adventure takes us to visit cajuput forests, situated on a stratum of muddy coal (Some of them are still recovering after a big fire in 2002), the wet lands are full of water lilies and another type of water flower called convolvulus; packs of boars feed during the day and forest will reveal amazing birdlife and monkey colonies. You can even get close to the bird nests and see their eggs and small birds waiting for their mothers bring foods back for them. Lunch at the restaurant at the forest entrance with local specialties such as fish and forest vegetable. After lunch take the boat to visit the bat area where several giant bats can be found here,
