Our full day adventure takes us to visit cajuput forests, situated on a stratum of muddy coal (Some of them are still recovering after a big fire in 2002), the wet lands are full of water lilies and another type of water flower called convolvulus; packs of boars feed during the day and forest will reveal amazing birdlife and monkey colonies. You can even get close to the bird nests and see their eggs and small birds waiting for their mothers bring foods back for them. Much of daily life takes place on the streets, which are lined with shops, stalls and vendors with their wares spread out on the footpaths. You will have the chance to see the bustling Ben Thanh Market, the War Remnants Museum, the Reunification Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. You will then enjoy a fantastic dinner at local a restaurant, before retiring for the evening.

Day 2: Mekong Delta Excursion (B, L)

The Mekong Delta is the southernmost region of Vietnam and is often referred to as the rice bowl of Vietnam since it produces three crops of rice per year. The fertile delta is also famous for its tropical fruits and flowers. The delta sits at the end of a 4,500 km journey along the Mekong River, which snakes through six countries. Traditional transportation in the Delta is by boat, along a vast network of canals and channels. Boating along these canals and visiting the floating markets always proves to be a fascinating and rewarding experience for our visitors.
You will leave HCMC and travel to lush My Tho, where you will cruise on a private boat through the green vegetation lining the canals. You will stop at an orchard, where you will be treated to a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. You can also visit the snake farm, Dong Tam, which breeds snakes for (among other things) snake wine. Back to HCMC for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Cao Dai Temples & Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

Next up is an excursion to the Cao Dai Temples, home of the Divine Eye - official symbol of Caodaism. Cao Dai followers worship Jesus Christ, Confucius, Taoism, and Buddha. You will be able to observe the midday service, followed by lunch and then a drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200km of underground tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons
factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving you a unique experience and a feel of what underground life must have been like during the U.S.-Vietnam War. Then it’s back to HCMC for an overnight stay.

Whether it’s the sights, sounds or tastes, there’s always something captivating to grab your attention. Lose yourself in the vibrant markets or observe the relaxed life of the Mekong locals while you travel by boat through the winding waterways of lush South Vietnam.
Activities during the trip include trekking, cruising, biking and boating. You will venture off the beaten path of the Mekong Region from Chau Doc to Ha Tien and from Can Tho to Cap Ca Mau. Of course, you will have time to relax and cruise on a charming boat on the Mekong River and stay in the best available hotels in the region.
Your trip ends at the Phu Quoc Islands, just 45 minutes by air from Rach Gia. Phu Quoc is a relatively undiscovered island paradise, with warm clear waters and long stretches of sandy beaches. The local industry is fishing and the island is famous throughout Vietnam for its fish sauce. There are few upscale resorts on the island, but this is changing rapidly.

Day 1 : Ho Chi Minh Arrival (D)

Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be met and greeted by our tour guide and taken to your hotel for check in. Later, you will be brought to a local restaurant for dinner before and overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Saigon ( HCMC ) - Vinh Long - Can Tho (B, L, D)

You will meet your guide at your hotel in HCMC and drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Vinh Long. Upon arrival, you’ll take a boat trip to visit a brick & pottery factory, a bonsai garden or an orchard. You will enjoy some Southern traditional music performed by the local people and a sumptuous Delta lunch, including the popular dish of “Elephant ear fish.” You will then drive to the heart of Mekong Delta: Can Tho and stay overnight.

Day 3: Can Tho (B, L, D)
After breakfast at hotel you will take a boat trip to join in the Cai Rang Floating market. Here, each boat usually sells one particular item, whether it be pumpkins, pineapples, sugar cane etc., and in order that the customer knows where to shop, they hang that item from the highest part of the boat. The afternoon is free, so you may enjoy the most comfortable property in the Mekong Delta, Victoria Resort Can Tho, where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Can Tho - Chau Doc (B, L, D)
You will leave Can Tho and head for Chau Doc. This amazing journey takes 4 hours and the town is situated right on the Bassac River, close to the Cambodian border. You will stop to visit the Bang Lang bird sanctuary, the incense stick village and the crocodile farm on the way.

In the afternoon, you will take a sampan, cruising to visit the floating fish farm and the Cham weaving village. Next is a trip up the Sam Mountain for a great sunset and a birds-eye view over the rice paddy fields toward Cambodia, before spending the night at the Victoria Hotel Chau Doc.

Day 5: Chau Doc - Ha Tien (B, L, D)
You’ll have time to enjoy a buffet breakfast at the restaurant, which faces the river, before departing Chau Doc for Ha Tien. Ha Tien is in the extreme south-west of the Vietnamese mainland, close to the Gulf of Thailand and the Cambodian border. It’s a busy but remote town of about 42,000 people and is approximately 100km from Chau Doc by road. Ha Tien and its hinterland is a popular destination for Vietnamese people, but few visitors from abroad venture into such an out-of-the-way corner of Vietnam. Nevertheless, for travelers seeking an authentic experience (and who are prepared for basic accommodations and infrastructure) it has a lot to offer. You can visit Hon Chong (a pagoda in the grottoes) and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the beach, before retiring for the evening in Ha Tien.

Day 6 : Ha Tien - Cap Ca Mau (B, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Thach Dong Cave, the Vietnam/Cambodia border, Mui Nai beach and a local fishing village. You will certainly want to stop and view the verdant paddy fields, orchards and tranquil villages on the way to Ca Mau. The main attractions here are the nearby swamps and forests, which can be easily explored by boat. Bird-watchers and aspiring botanists will be enthralled with the area for its stork-sighting opportunities and swamp ecology. You’ll then have dinner and an overnight stay in Ca Mau.

Day 7: Ca Mau - Dat Mui (B, L, D)
In the morning, you will take a speedboat from Ca Mau to Dat Mui. Here, you can take souvenir photos at the country’s southernmost tip, which can annually expand as much as 80 to 100 meters due to alluvion (deposited soil left by the recession of water). You can then visit other national landmarks, a miniature model village and the Mui Ca Mau forest stations, which provide views from as high as 20 meters. In the afternoon, you will take a speedboat back to Nam Can and visit the Phan Ngoc Hien monument, before dinner and an overnight stay in Ca Mau.

Day 8: Ca Mau - Rach Gia - Phu Quoc (B)

Rising early to the sounds of the Delta around you, you will drive to Rach Gia and bid farewell to your driver as a guide flies you to Phu Quoc Island for 4 nights of rest and relaxation.
